Syracuse basketball season summed up by snowman (Photo)

A miniature snowman represents the feeling around Syracuse

After Syracuse self-imposed a one-year ban on the men’s basketball team from postseason play for possible infractions in academics, the mood around Syracuse has become gloomy, much like the weather there.

Syracuse, 15-7, had a shot at being in the tournament, and the fact that they play in the ACC, they probably would have gotten in.

March is probably the month people most look forward to in Syracuse, and this year after the ban, there will be no basketball for the Orange.

As expected that has caused sadness among the Syracuse faithful.

Jackie Snow, yes that’s her name, a parking attendant for Syracuse, is known for making sculptures out of the mountains of snow that they receive this year.

This time she has made a snowman that sums up the feeling around Syracuse.

The miniature snowman with sad facial features promptly has a sign next to him that reads “March Sadness.”

When March arrives in Syracuse, people who are usually ready to see their Orange take the court will instead be much like this snowman and be left with a void in their hearts as they will not have their Orange to cheer on in March Madness.

As children gleefully sing the classic song, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” from the hit Disney movie, Frozen, people in Syracuse will emphatically respond, “No.”
