Anthony Davis slips off rim on dunk, falls hard on shoulder (Video)

New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis went down hard after a dunk, and he was forced to leave the game in a scary situation.
Anthony Davis has been a stud for the New Orleans Pelicans and he’s quickly looking like he’ll be the next superstar to emerge in the NBA. But that’s assuming he can stay healthy, as we’ve seen budding superstars get cut down by injuries — with Derrick Rose being the most brutal example of this.

Davis and the Pelicans were playing Rose’s Chicago Bulls on Saturday night when he suffered an injury that has a lot of fans around the NBA holding their breath.
While going up for a dunk, Davis appears to slip on the rim or hit the angle of the dunk wrong. The result is David bouncing off the rim before hitting the floor, hard.
Davis was taken out of the game and didn’t emerge from the locker room but it appears that he’s not as injured as he could have been. On a play that saw Paul George obliterate his leg bone earlier this offseason, Davis seems to have escaped with minimal damage.
This is great news to hear, as no one wants to see Davis’ budding career complicated by injuries as its become a far too real fear for fans everywhere.
