The Utah Jazz’ forward threw it down on the Phoenix Suns’ center

After the Phoenix Suns acquired center Brandan Wright from the Boston Celtics, struggling center Miles Plumlee, whose minutes became reduced thanks to the emergence of young center Alex Len, became almost an afterthought in the Suns lineup.

Len rolled his ankle against the Portland Trailblazers Thursday, and Plumlee was inserted back into the starting lineup against the visiting Jazz.

While the Suns would win against the Jazz, Plumlee would be on the receiving end of a Gordon Hayward slam and became absolutely posterized during the process.

Plumlee, who isn’t exactly the definition of a post presence, did all that he could to get his arms up and make it difficult for the Butler product, but it wasn’t enough as the 6-foot-8 Hayward went right over him with the right hand and slammed it down straight on Plumlee.

For those that don’t follow Utah closely and think Hayward is just a shooter, think again. After receiving the mini-max in the offseason from the Charlotte Hornets, which the Jazz would end up matching, the 24-year-old has proven why he is worth the money.

If he keeps up the highlight reel slams to go with the shooting, the rest of the league will continue to take notice if they haven’t already.
