New York Giants likely to extend Eli Manning’s contract
By Evan Massey
The New York Giants are reportedly “all in” on Eli Manning moving forward, and will likely give him an extension this coming offseason.
Eli Manning has had quite a bit of success throughout his career with the New York Giants, but his 2013 season was an absolute nightmare. His decision-making was absolutely awful, and he ended up throwing 27 interceptions throughout the course of the season.

That number obviously ticked off a lot of the New York fan base, and he lost quite a bit of his support.
It appears that the Giants are interested in keeping Manning around long-term, and could get an extension done with him this coming season according to ESPN New York.
"Likewise, they’re all in on quarterback Eli Manning and likely to extend his contract this offseason so that he completes his career as a Giant."
Despite that rough season, he came through with a big season in 2014. Manning threw for 4,410 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. At 34 years of age, the Giants would be wise to give Manning an extension to keep him around through the rest of his career.
Odell Beckham Jr. looks like a legitimate number one target moving forward, and that is another factor that will help Manning get back on track. As a rookie this past season, Beckham caught 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns. New York has a lot of potential, but they still need to add another piece or two to make their offense dangerous again.
Manning has won two Super Bowls throughout his career with the Giants, and they were both impressive wins over very talented New England Patriots teams.
If the time every did come that Manning left New York, it just wouldn’t seem right to see him play elsewhere. New York finished this past season with a 6-10 record, and saw Manning improve the decision-making issues that caused his 2013 season to be such a disappointment.
All of that being said, it is going to be interesting to see whether or not the Giants and Manning can agree to terms on an extension.
