There wasnāt much good for the Red Raiders Saturday, other than a big time dunk by their forward
Texas Tech has been struggling in conference play in the Big 12. Despite having a winning record at 12-11, the Red Raiders are just 2-8 within the conference after getting rolled in Ames, Iowa, by No. 11 Iowa State afternoon 75-38.

While things were ugly for the Red Raiders who didnāt score more than 21 in either half, they did have one nice play to remember.
Early in the first half, forward Zach Smith was found wide open and left alone for an open dunk.
He didnāt just dunk it either, he slammed the basketball home with authority.
Unfortunately for Texas Tech, that would be about it for the day when it comes to memorable plays.
Thatās even if they want to remember anything from a game where they got hammered by almost 40 points. As for Iowa State, after No. 10 Notre Dame got throttled by No. 4 Duke, the Cyclones could be in position to move up when the newest Top 25 standings are released.
There has been some ugly basketball played thus far today. Fortunately enough for everyone watching at home, there has been enough highlight reel slams and blocks to keep everyone content.
