After watching this Cubs promo for the upcoming season, you’ll be ready for opening day.
Some fan bases joke about how miserable their team is. They self-loathe in the fact that their team hasn’t made the playoffs in a few years or hasn’t seen a championship in over three decades.

One of these franchises of recent times seems to be the New York Jets. Diehards have coined the phrase “same old Jets” after disappointing games and seasons. However, they’ve won a championship in the last 50 years and since 1997 have only suffered through a few actual losing seasons. Their record is above average.
We all know how long it took the Red Sox to finally break “the curse of the Bambino.”
Fans of the Chicago Cubs say “small potatoes” to everybody. At least Boston fans had a chance to see their team in the World Series on a few occasions.
Founded in 1870, the Cubs are the oldest active professional sports franchise. With that tag comes another as their fans are the most heart-broken.
As they enter the 2015 season, they’ll extend their World Series drought to a ridiculous 70 years (1945), and haven’t won a World Series since 1908.
But, as the “Lovable Losers” always do, they prove that optimism is one of the best human qualities of all.
