Kevin Love once again shot down rumors of him wanting to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers despite the slow start that he has had this season.
The Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves this past offseason, and he has gotten off to a very slow start this season. He has had to figure out how to change his game completely to fit in with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, and it simply hasn’t been working out very well for him.
Love has been mentioned in quite a few rumors, especially with the Los Angeles Lakers being the destination. He was asked about those rumors once again, and he remained 100 percent committed to the Cavaliers in his answers.
Kevin Love was asked if he'd have interest in the Lakers: "I'm a Cleveland Cavalier." Any scenario where the Lakers would be an option: "No"

So far this season in 50 games played, Love has averaged 16.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. He has shot 42.2 percent from the field and 32.9 percent from behind the three-point arc. Those numbers may not look too bad, but they are certainly not the type of production that the Cavaliers were hoping to get from him.

That being said, Love is too talented of a player to continue struggling for the entire season. He is beginning to figure things out slowly but surely, but needs to cut out his inconsistency in order to make the type of impact that the Cavaliers need from him.
Cleveland started off very slow themselves as a team, but has since turned things around. They have won 13 of their last 14 games, and are beginning to gel together as a team very well.
While they are getting back on track during the regular season, they are going to need all three of their stars to be on the same page when the playoffs roll around. There are too many talented teams in the NBA to have one star being inconsistent and disappearing at times.
Despite the early struggles by both the Cavaliers and Love, expect them to figure things out in time for the playoffs. Acquiring J.R. Smith, Timofey Mozgov, and Iman Shumpert has really jump-started the Cavaliers, and they are beginning to click. Love is the only one that is still figuring out his new role, and his teammates are continuing to support him and are trying to help him get used to the system.
