College Basketball rankings: Week 14 AP Poll released; Virginia back to No. 2

After a week away, Virginia is right back to No. 2 in the AP Poll


Last week because of a loss to Duke, the Virginia Cavaliers were bounced from No. 2 in the college basketball AP Poll, being replaced by Gonzaga. The voters wanted to see Tony Bennett and his crew prove themselves again, and all that took was one week for this team to show the AP Poll voters that they’re still one of the top teams in the land.

After successfully rebounding from that loss to Duke this past week, Virginia has been vaulted right back into that No. 2 ranking in the AP Poll for Week 14 that was released on Monday, with Gonzaga going right back to the three spot. Make no mistake about it, though, this Gonzaga team doesn’t appear as if they’re going anywhere, anytime soon.

Of course, too, as you would expect, the Kentucky Wildcats are still the top dogs in the AP Poll, as they were able to extend their record to 23-0, continuing their pursuit of an undefeated season.
