The key to building a successful franchise in the NFL is by finding talent through the draft and making smart decisions over the offseason. After drafting their franchise quarterback in Derek Carr and a guy who could lead the league in sacks one season in Khalil Mack, the Oakland Raiders are maybe a draft or two away from making a run to the playoffs. With money to spend this offseason, the Raiders will have the ability to add impact players and that will be big for their franchise as they will make improvements for the team.
However, this year’s draft will likely dictate this franchise’s prospects over the next few years. Three years from now, if this Raiders’ draft class doesn’t live up to its expectations, the Raiders could very well stay as a below-average team. Although, if their draft class succeeds, don’t be surprised to find Oakland in the playoffs in a few years. With all of this being said, let’s get the most important part of the article. Here is the Raiders’ seven-round mock draft.
