Denver Broncos superstar quarterback Peyton Manning is training in New Orleans with the intent to return for another NFL season next year.

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos finished the 2014-15 season up in disappointing fashion with a divisional playoff loss at home against the Indianapolis Colts. There was quite a bit of speculation about whether or not he would retire following that loss, but it appears that he is going to be returning for another season next year.

According to a report from Nola.com, Manning is training in New Orleans with the intent of returning for another NFL season.

It isn’t too surprising that Manning wouldn’t want to go out with a loss against his former team. Unfortunately, it is just another loss in a very disappointing postseason career for one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game.

During the 2014 regular season, Manning had yet another solid statistical season. He threw for 4,727 yards, 39 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. Manning ended up with a 101.5 passer rating for the entire season, which is a very respectable number.

Denver has already made some major changes since the playoff loss, firing head coach John Fox and the majority of the coaching staff. They are looking to clean house as much as possible to see if a different system can take them over the hump next year.

One thing is for sure, the Broncos don’t have anyone that could replace what Manning brings to their offense.

Throughout his career, Manning has posted impressive numbers all across the board. He has racked up 69,691 yards, 530 touchdowns, and 234 interceptions, while still maintaining a quarterback rating of 97.5. There were a few rough seasons at the beginning of his career, but for the most part he has been outstanding and passed Brett Favre earlier this year for the most touchdown passes in NFL history.

Whenever the time comes that Manning does end up retiring, it will be a sad day for the league. He has meant a lot throughout this era of football, and his legacy won’t ever be forgotten.

That being said, it doesn’t appear that time will come this offseason. He is getting ready to play another season and still has the passion for the game that has made him great. Denver will welcome him back with open arms assuming he does return, and it will keep them in contention in the AFC once again.

Obviously there is still a chance that he decides to retire, but this piece of news further confirms the belief that he will be returning in 2015.
