Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James are facing the Miami Heat tonight and there is only one thing on their minds: revenge.

There is a famous Klingon proverb that states, “Revenge is a dish best served cold.” The Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James have had their dishes chilling on Hoth since Christmas day. Sacrilegious merging of references aside, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been on a tear lately winning 13 of their last 14 games, setting up a marquee matchup against the Miami Heat…sort of.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

On Christmas day, the Cavs never held a lead and were torched by Dwyane Wade, who had 31 points, and Luol Deng who had 25 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. They were also without center Anderson Varejao, who tore his Achilles tendon against the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 23. This time around, the Cavs obtained a legitimate starting center and are playing their best basketball this season.

There have been a couple of key injuries that the Heat have sustained that will put a damper on the revenge plot line, but it will not make the victory any less sweet for James and the Cavs. There should be no doubt that they will be avenging their loss against the Heat on Christmas day when the two teams lock horns at the Quicken Loans Arena tonight.
