Charles Barkley continues to just not give enough of himself as an NBA analyst, always holding back and leaving us to wonder what he really thinks.

Charles Barkley drew an on-air admonishment from NBA on TNT host Ernie Johnson Thursday night after cursing during a live national broadcast.

During a discussion with reporter David Aldridge about the role DeMarcus Cousins played in the hiring of coach George Karl by the Sacramento Kings, Barkley said that the Kings consulting Cousins about the hire was “total bulls**t.”

Barkley let that one slip after just seconds earlier stopping himself from saying something he shouldn’t say on live TV.

Barkley has long been a critic of Cousins, often calling him immature and calling him out for failing to live up to his potential.

So it’s not a complete shocker that Barkley would be aghast at the idea that the Kings would talk to their All-Star center about the coach-hiring process.

Of course, Aldridge said repeatedly that Cousins was not being given veto power but rather was just being apprised of what was happening.

Barkley was appalled at even that, saying that Cousins hadn’t earned that kind of power because he was too young and “hadn’t won anything.”

Ah, yes. That one again from the guy who gets called out by Michael Jordan and others for … wait for it … not winning anything.

This came just two days after Barkley ripped Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey—and advanced statistics in general.

“First of all, I’ve always believed analytics was crap,” Barkley said after Tuesday’s Rockets-Phoenix Suns game, per ESPN.com. “You know I never mention the Rockets as legitimate contenders ‘cause they’re not. And listen, I wouldn’t know Daryl Morey if he walked into this room right now.”

Barkley’s comments were in response to this tweet from Morey:

Give Barkley credit: He’s taken under-informed blathering packaged as “truth” and raised it to an art form.
