Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s sister scarred him for life when it comes to jewelry
Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a top NASCAR driver. Therefore, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is one of the most fearless human beings on the planet, because to get into a car and drive at those speeds, you fear very little in life. However, that doesn’t mean that he’s immune to fear.
In actuality, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a fear of jewelry. Yes, jewelry. This has also led some people to believe that’s the reason he has yet to drop down to one knee and propose to girlfriend Amy Reimann. But on Thursday, Earnhardt went on Dan Patrick and he set the record straight on why exactly he has a fear for one of the finer things in life.
More or less, his sister was mean.
When speaking to Patrick about his phobia, Earnhardt revealed that his sister used to torment him to no end and she used jewelry as her prop.
“My sister used to chase me around the house with necklaces and stuff,” Earnhardt said via NBC Sports. “It’s creepy to me.”
He would go on…
“(Earnhardt Miller) made it worse. She definitely antagonized me and terrorized me when I was younger.”
Thankfully, though, this has not affected his relationship with Reimann.
“I’ve told her my phobia and let her choose what she wanted to do,” Junior said. “We’ve talked about it. I’m not going to be held accountable (for wearing a ring), and she can do whatever she wants. I figure if we ever get to that step in life, I owe her that much. I’ll have to put up with that.”
I could say that this is a ploy to save some money, but, you know, this is Dale Earnhardt Jr….he’s made more money when he blinks than I will ever make in a lifetime.
