Keith Olbermann tears into NBA analyst Charles Barkley
By Evan Massey
Keith Olbermann rips into former NBA star and current analyst Charles Barkley, and calls him an idiot.
Charles Barkley is one of the funniest NBA analysts around, and is part of the TNT commentating panel. Unfortunately, he is also one of the analysts that makes the least sense and makes mistakes in his speech almost every single broadcast.

Fellow sports commentator Keith Olbermann decided to rip into him about sports analytics, and called him an idiot repeatedly throughout his segment. He also mentioned Barkley’s weight at the end of the segment. Both areas are things that Barkley has heard before, but to see a nationally recognized media member talk about him that way takes it to an entirely new level.
It is going to be interesting to see if the talk stops here between Olbermann and Barkley, or whether the two sides carry it on a bit longer. Barkley isn’t known for backing down from smack talk, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see shots fired the other direction as well.
Olbermann also said that Barkley “doesn’t know anything about basketball” in his segment. He did concede that Barkley was an amazing basketball player, but said that he doesn’t know a thing about the game off-the-court.
Needless to say, those words are not going to be taken lightly by Barkley. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Barkley take a shot at Olbermann the next chance he gets, which would be on tonight’s TNT coverage of the Chicago Bulls versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. No matter what happens moving forward, these are just the latest strong words that Olbermann has uttered.
Take a look at the video of Olbermann calling out Barkley and repeatedly ripping him throughout the segment:
One thing can be said about Olbermann, and that is he will never leave us without entertainment.
