NBA Trade Rumors: Suns to ask for first-round pick for Goran Dragic?
By Josh Hill
The NBA Trade Deadline is approaching, and the Phoenix Suns will likely be asking for top return if Goran Dragic’s time is indeed done.
With the NB A trade deadline approaching next week, the rumor mill is spinning faster and faster with each passing hour. The list of trade candidates isn’t as long as it has been in the past, as most are veterans who will be bought out if no deal is made.

But there are a handful of players who will remain on the trade block — and therefore in trade rumors — until the very end.
One of those players is Goran Dragic, who has been absorbed into a loaded backcourt in Phoenix and may be seeking a way out.
According to NBA scribe Gery Woelfel from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, if the Suns indeed give up on Goran Dragic, then it’s going to cost whoever acquires him a first-round pick.
Last year there was a lot of talk about whether the Suns would keep Dragic or Eric Bledsoe over the summer. Instead of making a decision one way or the other, the Suns kept both players, drafted Tyler Ennis and traded for Isaiah Thomas.
That loaded backcourt has Dragic possibly wanting out and the trade deadline is his last chance before the offseason.
Of course, there could be a place for Dragic on the Suns roster moving forward but he’ll want a larger role and a big contract — two things he’s not guaranteed in Phoenix. That could lead to a trade being made but in all likelihood the Suns will try to ride this thing out and then try to sort through who to keep and who to dump over the summer.
