Report: Peyton Manning tells people close to him he wants to return
It’s beginning to sound like Peyton Manning will be back next season for the Broncos
After Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos looked flat and were eliminated by the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs, many wondered if that would be the end of the line for Peyton Manning and his illustrious career.

Manning was battling a quad injury and his arm strength was looking weaker. Many questioned whether Manning should return or hang it up.
Now it looks like Manning could be leaning towards returning.
According to Ian Rapoport, Manning is telling those close to him that he indeed plans on being back for the 2015 season.
It’s certainly great news for Denver if they can get Manning back for another year. However, it will probably come at a price, as the Broncos have several key free agents such as Julius Thomas and Demaryius Thomas that they have to re-sign first.
With Manning’s big contract, it’s going to be hard for the team to keep both.
Still, though, it makes sense for Manning to come back another year. As one of the greatest to ever play the position, Manning probably doesn’t want to go out the way he did last year being injured and his team looking flat. A guy like Manning should go out on his own terms.
If he does return, the question of whether backup quarterback Brock Osweiler will be the one to lead the Broncos into the future will be pushed off for another year. The Broncos, with Manning there or not, will certainly have a different looking roster next year as a result of the salary cap.
When you have a guy like Manning, you go all in on him and risk the cap consequences of losing other key players.
If Manning has indeed told the Broncos and those close to him that he plans on returning next season, then the Broncos and Manning will have one more shot at capturing a Lombardi Trophy together.
