While the NBA Slam Dunk Contest will do down on Saturday night, it will be without the world’s most creative dunker.
Jordan Kilganon stands 6-1, is Candaian, is not an NBA player, yet can jump through the gym. He is the world’s most creative and perhaps best dunker.
Kilganon is a professional dunker famous for his dunk sessions, especially those featuring his signature dunk called “The Scorpion.” He’s been some what of a legend for the past couple of years having the reputation for perfecting new style dunks as well as giving a flare for the dramatic to some old school style throw-downs.
Check out some of his stuff through a collaboration with HoopMixTape:
But that’s just one of many video sessions from this kid. It’s obvious to see why his legend has grown with appropriate words like “leaps” and “bounds.”
No disrespect to the NBA players who’ll be competing at the Barclay’s Center tomorrow night in the Dunk Contest, but this kid would win the competition hands down. While Mason Plumlee, Victor Oladipo, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the favorite Zach LaVine are worthy risers, something seems to lack realizing that superstars don’t ever throw their hats in the ring anymore like we saw with Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins in the 80’s.
If only non-NBA players could compete.
