Dallas Cowboys absolutely win Valentine’s Day with this awesome card.

In the 2001 AFC Divisional Game, the Oakland Raiders should’ve beaten the New England Patriots. However, the Tuck Rule prevented that from happening. Since then, there really hasn’t been a more controversial call in the NFL. That wasn’t until this year’s playoffs when the Dallas Cowboys were driving down the field in need of a touchdown. On a 4th & 1, the Green Bay Packers sent the house and quarterback Tony Romo lofted the ball to perhaps the best receiver in the NFL in Dez Bryant.

What would happen next is perhaps the biggest atrocity in the history of football. Bryant would go on to make one of the best spectacular catches in playoff history by jumping over one of the best cornerbacks in the game in Sam Shields to bring down the football. From there, Bryant would take three steps and then he would reach for the goal-line trying to score a touchdown. However, when Bryant reached out for the goal-line, the ball came loose. After a review, the play would go on to be incomplete and even though it wasn’t the reason why the Cowboys lost the game, football fans everywhere complained of how the Cowboys were robbed a touchdown to put them up three with less than four minutes to go.

With Valentine’s Day, the Cowboys mocked the NFL by giving their two cents on the call. Before I show you the picture, it should be said that the Cowboys are currently in contract extension talks with Bryant as he still does not have a contract for next season and so on. This picture is straight from the Cowboys’ official twitter, @DallasCowboys:

The card, call it if you will, has a picture of Dez catching the football. It then says “To: Dez, From: Cowboys Nation”. Not only is this comical as the Cowboys sort of troll the NFL, but it also gives Bryant incentive to come back to Dallas. Well regardless, the good news is that Bryant wants to be a Cowboy for life and a deal between the two sides is really only a matter of time.
