Leave it to Charles Barkley to take references to the new film 50 Shades of Grey to uncomfortable levels almost immediately. Who else could it have been?

Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley have been together on TNT’s NBA coverage since 2000 and there were some indications during Saturday night pre-All-Star coverage that maybe they are just a bit too close.

Host Carrie Keagan gave Barkley a little smack on the arm and Barkley’s response was a one-way ticket to Creepyville.

Kenny and the Chuck-ster went to see 50 Shades of Grey together? Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but the mental images blast right through uncomfortable into needing electro-shock therapy to get rid of them.

LeBron James’ Springhill Production Company produced the one-hour NBA All-Star All-Style, with NBA stars James Harden, Klay Thompson, Chandler Parsons, DeMarcus Cousins, Zach LaVine, Jeff Teague and winner J.R. Smith competing in three categories—boardroom, a night out and game-day chic.

The judges included Barkley, Smith, WNBA star Elena Delle Donne, designer John Elliott and GQ style editor Will Welch, according to a press release.

James was backstage with comedian Kevin Hart doing off-stage interviews, a quartet of supermodels were on board, with Erin Heatherton, Chanel Iman, Rachel Hilbert and Shanina Shaik escorting the models/players down the runway to the soundtrack including live performances by Flo Rida and Wale.
