If you’re going to break into someone’s house, you better make sure it is not the home of Oakland Raiders offensive tackle, Donald Penn who fought off an intruder earlier this month.

Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Donald Penn is 6’4ā€ and weighs 340 pounds and is one of the last men you’d wanna get in a physical altercation with, but that’s what happened earlier this month when he was the victim of a home invasion.

The former Pro Bowl left tackle was in his home in Los Angeles with his wife and two young children when a man hopped his security gate and busted down the front door and went crazy inside the Penn home, according to TMZ.

"ā€œAccording to court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, Penn — who’s 6’4″, 340 lbs. and a former Pro Bowler — was at his L.A. home with his wife and kids when a large man hopped over his security gate, busted in his front door and began going crazy inside the home. That’s when Penn — who was with his wife and 2 young children at the time — sprung into action … physically restraining the man (who’s 6’1″, 220 lbs.) … until cops showed up.Penn eventually filed for a restraining order against the guy, which was granted — and now the suspect has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Penn and his family.ā€"

Thankfully Penn was home at the time to protect his wife and young children from the crazed home invader and thankfully Penn is a hulk of a human being so he could subdue the 6-1, 220-pound man suspect who now has a restraining order to keep him a football field’s distance away from he and his family.

Let this be a lesson to all would-be burglars that if you’re going to break into a person’s home, you better make sure you’re not breaking into the home of a man who could break your body in half in less time than it takes to hop a security gate.

In all seriousness, thankfully no one was harmed other than a busted door, but still this is a scary ordeal for Penn to have to deal with as his family will undoubtedly have wounds from this traumatic experience.

Penn signed a two-year contract worth $9.6 million last offseason after spending the first seven years of his NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after going undrafted out of Utah State in the 2007 NFL Draft.
