Zach LaVine throws down dunk, scars Cavaliers mascot for life (Video)
By Josh Hill
Zach LaVine is one of the best players on the rise in the NBA and the Cleveland Cavaliers mascot was forever changed by what he saw the rookie do.
Something happened to the Cleveland Cavaliers mascot Moondog on Friday night and he’s still trying to recover from it. After taking a break from watching LeBron James and company finally get it together enough to tear it up on a regular basis, Moondog went to the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge in New York this weekend — and will never be the same again.

We can all thank Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Zach LaVine for that, as he’s responsible for scarring Moondog for life.
Zach LaVine may be in the dunk contest tonight, but it was this dunk in the BBVA Rising Stars game that has everyone talking — and has apparently changed the life of the Cavaliers mascot Moondog in the process.
That’s about as classic a reaction as you can get to that dunk, as Moondog doesn’t freak out in a stereotypical way, he just unapologetically lets his life be changed by what he saw. Moondog has seen some stuff in his day too, as the Cavaliers have done enough o traumatize him for a lifetime, but this Zach LaVine dunk has just changed his perspective on life in every way.
Of course, LaVine may have more of that coming for folks tonight at the Slam Dunk Contest. He’s favored to win the event, which also features the ‘Greek Freak’ as well as Victor Oladipo and Miles Plumlee.
It promises to be a great event but Moondog is going to have to wander the streets of New York with that wide eyed expression for a while before he gets over what he saw on Friday night.
