J.J. Reddick jokes about losing the 3-Point contest
After losing the 3-point contest to Steph Curry, J.J. Reddick went on twitter to make fun of himself
J.J. Reddick had a little fun on Twitter after getting knocked out of the 3-point contest in the first round.
After getting in a rhythm going into the fourth rack, Reddick continually stepped on the line before shooting, disqualifying some of his shots. This ultimately led to his elimination as he could not make it to the final round that included Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, and Steph Curry.
He tweeted out a hilarious response to this unfortunate way of being beat.
Even if Reddick did make it to the next round, it would have been hard for the 3-point specialist to win the whole thing. Steph Curry put on a spectacular shooting display, making 13 in a row to win the competition with a final score of 27.

Reddick doesn’t seem to upset after losing. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that he is playing some of the best ball he has ever played in the NBA this season for the LA Clippers. He has the best 3-point percentage (43.6%) and the second most points per game of his career (14.6).
Hopefully this little debacle at the 3-point contest doesn’t make Reddick lose any momentum with his play.
Of course, if he ends up stepping on the line before a shot in a regular season game he will just get 2 points, instead of forfeiting the shot completely like in the 3-point contest. So this should not have too big of an effect on his overall game.
Kudos to Reddick for showing some class after losing because of a technicality.
