Peyton Manning with early appearance on SNL 40 (Video)

Broncos quarterback and SNL veteran Peyton Manning makes an early appearance tonight on the 40th Anniversary Show.
Unluckily for Adam Silver and the NBA All-Star Game, Saturday Night Live decided to throw a little party on Sunday night. It’s a three plus hour 40th anniversary show which features a collection of the best comic talent to ever live.
It’s simply priceless.
One guy who doesn’t fit the comic genius category but did make an early appearance on the SNL stage tonight was Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.
Steve Martin, who’s been the ultimate SNL host is told by Manning that he “gets hit in the head, a lot.”

When thinking about Manning it’s obvious to realize that his personality lends to something special after his career is over. Some speculate he’ll be the next great play by play man, the way Phil Simms and Troy Aikman transitioned into the number one teams for their respective broadcasts.
Some even say he’ll become the next “Madden-like” figure for the league.
Although Manning does very well in commercials, I’ll say the NFL related personality gig is more in his future, rather than the live stuff.
