Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook goes off in the first half breaking All-Star records.
Being named the NBA All-Star MVP is a tricky thing. None of the guys on the court want to be deemed as selfish in this strange feeling exhibition. No defense is played, guys opt to pass and amazing plays are looked to be topped every trip down the floor.

So when you see a guy rip off over 20 points in a quarter, you automatically know he could care less about being “that guy” that might rub the other All-Stars the wrong way. Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook could care less what everybody else thinks.
Westbrook scored more than 20 points in a quarter, he poured in 23 points in only eight minutes.

As we sit at haltfime, the Thunder point guard has an All-Star record of 27 points in one half. More absurd than that feat is the actual score itself: 83-82 as the West leads by one. The only other 20 plus point scorer at half is LeBron James with 22.
The man who’s really showing his skills tonight is Stephen Curry. Curry has seven dimes on a few sick passes. One incredible behind the back look and a couple of alley-oops.
