While fans were enjoying yet another Kentucky victory before tournament season, some newlyweds were also enjoying the game.

Usually after weddings, the receptions are held in big dining areas where everyone can celebrate, eat and dance.

Well, for some newlyweds in Kentucky, they decided to have their wedding reception in Rupp Arena while their Wildcats played host to the Gamecocks.

According to the Courier-Journal, Earl Fields and his new wife Heather Burgett, had received tickets to the game as a gift from Burgett’s uncle.

The couple, who got married Friday night, decided to throw their wedding attire back on for Saturday’s game.

It was Burgett’s idea to wear the wedding dress.

ā€œI said I’m going to wear my wedding dress,ā€ Burgett said. ā€œHe said ā€˜go for it.’ He’s had these season tickets for years.ā€

Not only did the happy couple get married, they got to see their Wildcats remain undefeated. If Kentucky can win out and grab another national championship, their will be even more cause for celebration for the newlyweds and Kentucky fans alike.
