WWE rumors: WWE main roster talent frustrated over NXT success

Apparently members of the WWE main roster are growing more and more frustrated over the success of NXT

Last Wednesday night we were shown something once again that we have seen a few times before, with that being the clear fact that, for the most part, WWE NXT is a far better product than what we see from the main roster on a regular basis. Overall, the better option for wrestling viewing clearly is the place that is viewed as a “developmental system.”

Well, apparently, the success of NXT is getting to some members of the main roster.

Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com recently noted that he’s received word that members of the main roster are getting a little upset that NXT is generally viewed as the most superior brand in the company by a lot of fans.

To further this report, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer had this to add in:

"“So story is accurate but it’s inherent. It was the same thing in the OVW days, well not exactly the same, but similar. I get DMs from people on the main roster always after those specials. It’s a common frustration. The top NXT performers are frustrated they aren’t on the main roster making money. Then they will get more frustrated when they realize their dream. WWE guys are frustrated they aren’t having the matches guys in NXT are when they know if they can perform before 400 fans in longer matches they can tear the house down.”"

Look, the simple fact of the matter is that between Triple H and Vince McMahon, two separate worlds have been created in WWE, so this was bound to happen eventually. Now is John Cena frustrated that with what the NXT guys get to do down there? Probably not, he’s making his money. But is someone like a Dolph Ziggler, who knows that if he can be given 25 minutes in a good program he can tear the house down like that? Absolutely, he probably is.

As NXT begins to grow, this will increasingly become something to keep an eye on in the company.
