Stephen Curry had a great All-Star weekend and capped it off by making the days of some kids at the Under Armour store in New York by buying them new shoes.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry had an MVP-caliber first half of the NBA season after helping lead them to the best record in the league, and he capped off a stellar first half with a standout All-Star weekend.

More from Golden State Warriors

Curry won the three-point contest on Saturday night after he sunk 13 straight shots in the final round as the sharpshooter put on a clinic. He followed that up with 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists in 27 minutes in the win for the Western Conference in the All-Star Game on Sunday night.

That wasn’t even the best thing he did on Sunday and may not have even been his highlight of the weekend.

Curry was at the Under Armour store on Sunday in New York City and being the gracious, generous and kind person that he is purchased some new kicks for 11 kids who were at the store at the same time doing some shopping.

Arguably the leading candidate to win the NBA MVP, Curry posed for a quick picture with the kids who undoubtedly have a new favorite player and Darren Rovell shared the picture on twitter.

Dropping somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,000 for 11 pairs of new shoes for these kids isn’t a significant chunk of change for Curry, but it was a significant show of his character and heart.

Sometimes the littlest gestures can have the biggest impacts and that’s the case here for these kids who have a story to tell for the rest of their lives and I’m sure Curry felt pretty great by doing something nice for some young fans.

I wish there were stories like this to report every day.
