Alex Rodriguez has issued the apology that a lot of New York Yankees fans have been waiting for on Tuesday
New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez is getting set to make his return to the team and Major League Baseball this season after serving the longest suspension in the history of the league for PED use. For quite some time now, Yankees fans have been waiting for A-Rod to apologize for his transgressions away from the field before he makes his return.
Well on Tuesday, Yankees fans got what they were looking for from Alex Rodriguez.
As he gears up to make the return, Rodriguez actually penned up an apology on his own, as opposed to going with the traditional quick statement. In a way, the hand-written apology makes things feel a little more sincere, although Yankees fans all across the country will take it a different way.
In the letter, A-Rod comes right out and issues the apology to the fans, and also takes full responsibility for his actions. He also does note that while he knows some might not believe his sincerity, he just wants to make it up to them by getting back on the field for the Yankees and getting the job done that he used to be so great at.

This is mainly the last stop on the tour for Rodriguez as far as making amends goes before he does step back onto the field for the first time in over a year. He’s already met with new MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, and of course, he’s sat down and had a discussion with Yankees brass.
As far as making it up to Yankees fans, this is a start. Should he get back out onto that field and contribute this season, then more than likely all will be forgotten by the time the All-Star break hits in July.
