Eight-year old Jordan King gets his wish by practicing with the Blackhawks.
Eight-year old Jordan King is a Make-A-Wish recipient. His wish: practice with his favorite NHL team, the Chicago Blackhawks.
The practice on Tuesday was at the United Center, surely to make the afternoon even more memorable for the young kid going through so much in his personal life.
Wearing a custom made No. 19 Jonathan Toews jersey and an all-encompassing armor of hockey gear, Jordan skated along with his favorite players as they prepared for a nationally-televised game on Wednesday evening against a fellow original six team, the Detroit Red Wings, who of course also used to be a division nemesis.

The youngster was made to feel like a part of the team as he skated with the team. He concluded the practice by scoring a practice shootout goalie as his new Blackhawk teammates became his admirers and stormed the ice when he sent the puck through the net.
His hero Toews was the first to meet him after the practice-closing goal.

Photos and Vines were immediately disseminated over the multiple social media outlets available to the Blackhawks and the NHL. Perhaps none, aside from the Vine showing little Jordan scoring the shootout goal is the photo of him just standing next to Toews on the ice in his skates.
The ‘Hawks are no strangers to providing heartwarming moments for their admirers. As this Sports Illustrated article alluded to, they also hosted a blind fan in a video which must be seen to restore some faith in humanity.
