In the latest installment of the Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao super fight, PacMan wants a five million dollar drug fine. Will he get it? Will the super fight we’ve been waiting for still go on?

If we’re not talking about large money, then what’s the point?

To paraphrase Jay-Z’s 1996 smash single, Feelin It, there aren’t many people within the United States with the type of money that boxer Floyd Mayweather has. Because of Mayweather’s status symbol as the golden child of boxing, and the best fighter in the sport, it’s no surprise that Mayweather’s draw for a super fight is colossal.

The only fight that most people want to see from Mayweather has to happen against his arch rival, Manny Pacquiao. The fight could potentially rake in anywhere between 250 million to 300 million dollars. So it’s a no brainer to happen right?

Well it’s starting to look that way.

People are getting anxious because previous talks between the two have died when they were scheduling the fight but this time it seems a lot different.

Because there is so much on the line (talking about reputation more so than money), people want to make sure that the details of this event are done right. The newest detail between the two parties is that Pacquiao wants to have a 5 million dollar fine for any positive drug test that he might have.

In the past, it was alleged that one of the biggest reasons why Pacquiao never fought Mayweather inside of the ring was because of the Olympic-style drug test that he would have to take before fighting. This time Pacquiao’s putting drug testing to the side and is ready to fight.

In an interview with Paolo Romero, Pacquiao said this:

"“I’ve no problem with drug testing. In fact, in the contract, I was the one who suggested the $5-million fine if one is tested positive for drugs. I was the one who inserted that because that’s needed,” said Pacquiao."

The fact that these two boxing heavyweights are finally going to meet inside of the ring is more than joyous for the country. In his career Pacquiao is 57-5 with two draws and 38 knockouts, while the host, Mayweather, is 47-0 with 26 knockouts.

As long as we don’t see any bitten ears we’re good.

Three words, sparks will fly.
