Los Angeles Lakers. 30. team. 20. There was once a time when people weren’t sure the Lakers would finish with a record bad enough to keep that top-five protected pick they owe the Phoenix Suns. Now they have the league’s fourth worst record and if their fellow tankers continue to win games, the Lakers will have a shot at that No. 1 pick. <p>Don’t get me wrong; this season is still depressing as hell for Hollywood. The Lakers will need to win 15 of their remaining 29 games to avoid tying a franchise record for losses, which wouldn’t happen even if L.A. <em>could</em> find a way to trade for Goran Dragic before the trade deadline. Dreams of a high draft pick and signing the Dragon to an $80 million deal this summer are as good as it gets these days, I suppose.</p>. (13-40). Previous:
