Henry, who recently retired after four years at the New York Red Bulls, became a pundit for Sky Sports, signing a £4 million per year contract.

However, the 37-year-old’s aspirations to become a manager is no secret and Henry went one step closer to making that dream a reality as he became a youth team coach for Arsenal’s famed youth academy, Hale End.

Henry will be working with players from the age of 16 which will be crucial experience for the Frenchman as he’s already working on his badges and was recently with the Wales U16 squad.

Back in December, Wenger stated that he believed Henry would make a good manager:

“He has all the qualities [to be a coach], because he is intelligent, committed, he loves the game. He just has to think, ‘Do I want to sacrifice all the rest of my life to be involved in that job?'”

Arsenal fans would certainly love the prospect of having arguably the club’s greatest ever player become the eventual successor of Arsene Wenger.
