The West Virginia Mountaineers Super Bowl champion, Bruce Irvin, came back home to storm the court over an improbable upset victory against No. 8 Kansas
Last night the West Virginia Mountaineers played against the Kansas Jayhawks at home inside of the WVU Coliseum and there was a lot of pandemonium.

In the last three minutes of the game Jevon Carter came up clutch a number of times as he nailed big three-point shots late in the game against No. 8 Kansas.
However, the biggest shot of the night would go to Carter’s teammate, Juwan Staten.
During the last offensive possession for West Virginia against Kansas, Staten was facing leg cramps but he fought through it as he scored went coast to coast for a layup that featured a sick spin move leaving four seconds on the clock.
Kansas attempted to answer back and didn’t, as Perry Ellis missed a finger roll to win the game. Staten on the other hand scored 20 points, and led West Virginia to their first 20 win season in four years.
Since West Virginia won the basketball game, and got the improbable upset against the best team in the Big 12 conference, the fan base inside of the Coliseum decided to storm the court.
One of the people who were in attendance to help join in was none other than one of West Virginia’s most famous alumni, and one of the only Super Bowl winners from the school, Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin.
A lot of people might not see the value in storming the court when defeating the No. 8 team in college basketball, but for a school like West Virginia, moments like this don’t occur too much.
Kansas is one of the schools that is a thorn in their side, and if West Virginia wants to win the Big 12 tournament this year they will most likely have to defeat Kansas once again.
As for Irvin, why not storm the court? Irvin out of all people could use a bit of a thrilling victory after seeing his Seahawks team lose in such a deflating fashion to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.
Irvin’s riding with the school that gave him a chance to play professional football in the NFL so who really can blame him? Similar to the other students inside of the Coliseum he was excited about the big win that might make West Virginia become a 2015 NCAA Tournament team so who can blame him?
If my FIU Panthers defeated Kansas and potentially earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament, I would’ve been leading the charge to storm the court.
Enjoy life a bit.
