WWE legend Goldberg wants to enter Glory kickboxing
Goldberg not too long ago was interested in joining the kickboxing promotional team, Glory. Should the former WWE Champion attempt to become a professional kickboxer?
Spike TV is about to have a huge spike in their television ratings.
On February 6, during the Glory 19 event, one of the most popular wrestlers in the WCW & WWE, Bill Goldberg, said that he was a fan of the kickboxing promotional team known as Glory.
Goldberg shared to his love of the kickboxing team to his 337,000 loyal Twitter followers. This all occurred as Goldberg was watching Glory, and started saying that after he got the right preparation time that he wouldn’t mind consider getting into a match.

Even though there hasn’t been official talks moving forward about the two-time wresting world champion (one in WCW, & one in WWE) joining in a bout but it’s really not out of the question for him to fight. Goldberg’s one of the most accomplished wrestlers, and to watch him in a different forum would be interesting to say the least.
The move to join a kickboxing sport isn’t a bad idea for Goldberg. During his time in wrestling he’s the person who made the Jackhammer, which is one of the most devastating moves in wrestling, into a go-to finishing move. Goldberg might not be able to do suplexes inside of a ring where people can legally get kicked in the face as a finishing blow, but he’s already had a form of physical experience coming from a wrestling background.
One of the names that keeps surrounding the future preeminent Goldberg fight is another WWE wrestling alumni, Albert Del Rio.
The Glory CEO, Jon Franklin, has heard the expressed interest from Del Rio, who said he wouldn’t mind fighting Goldberg while competing under kickboxing rules.
At the end of the day, although Goldberg might just be a 48-year-old man who’s talking out of the side of his neck, he’s still more qualified than a lot of athletes that have made changes in their lives to join kickboxing.
Simply put, we would rather much see Goldberg fight than have to endure another Darko Milicic fight. Milicic who was a former NBA player, at one point also made the change to fight to kickboxing.
Similar to Goldberg, we might want to see him in the ring again for nostalgic purpose but it’s not a completely bad idea to see him fight again.
No jackhammers, or spears are going to get the job done in the ring, but at least we can see him “take someone’s friggin head off.”
Best of luck.
