What ten reasons can be given to prove that Paul George would help make the Indiana Pacers a legitimate title favorite?

The Indiana Pacers have suffered through a rough season so far, but are still in a position to make a playoff push coming out of the All-Star break.

More from Indiana Pacers

Paul George has missed the first half of the season due to a gruesome broken leg he suffered while playing for Team USA in August. It sent shock throughout the entire Pacers’ organization, and the loss of Lance Stephenson was also a huge loss for Indiana.

There weren’t many that expected the Pacers to have a chance at the playoffs following the All-Star break, but they have figured out ways to stay in contention.

It appears that George is on the mend and is targeting a mid-March return to the Pacers.

Bringing George back at this point in the season would give him just enough time to make an impact on their playoff hopes. The Pacers have a fairly easy home-heavy schedule the rest of the way, and George would return in time to play a handful of games before the playoffs come around.

Last season withe Pacers, George best year of his career and leaped into the upper echelon of NBA players. He averaged 21.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. Those numbers would be huge for the Pacers this year, and bringing him back would help them make a run at the playoffs in a big way.

If the Pacers do get George back mid-March like reports are stating, what ten reasons can be given for them being legitimate contenders in the Eastern Conference?
