The NBA trade deadline is fun for fans, but at the end of the day it involves uprooting lives and families — which is something Jarrett Jack is reacting to in real time.

NBA trade season is one of the most exciting parts of the year in basketball. But while fans love to hear rumors float around about big name players, it’s really at the end of the day all about human beings getting moved to new jobs against their will and without their consent — for the most part.

That’s really what happens here, which reminds us of that scene in Moneyball where Brad Pitt’s character shows us how ruthless and detached you have to be to trade someone. On one end of the desk is a guy telling another guy his job is done but we tend to take for granted the guy being told he has to move.

One of those guys at the moment is Brooklyn Nets guard Jarrett Jack.

With all the trade winds blowing, especially in regards to Jarrett Jack, the guard sent out an honest tweet that both trolled everyone paying attention to the trade rumors as well as serving as insight into the mind of a player at the heart of said rumors.

Jarrett Jack could be playing for the Brooklyn Nets when all of this is said and done, but he could also be playing for the Thunder, Pistons or any other team that makes an offer for him. This is the reality of the business side of basketball and Jarrett Jack is well within his rights to react to rumors that involve him.

It’s not often that players are able to be vocal about their situations in real time, but this paints a quick picture of what it’s like to literally twist in the wind while your name is plastered all over the place in rumors you can’t ignore but don’t know if you should trust.
