NBA Trade Rumors: Pistons aggressively trying to acquire Jarrett Jack, Norris Cole

The NBA trade deadline is approaching and the Detroit Pistons are working the phones in an effort to land the replacement point guard they desperately need in wake of losing Brandon Jennings. 

When the Detroit Pistons waived Josh Smith, it seems to almost fix everything that was previously broken as the team began to take strides into the halfway point. But losing guard Brandon Jennings is a blow that threatens to set everything back, which is why a trade for a replacement is of top priority at the moment.

The NBA trade deadline is approaching and the Pistons have their eyes set on two point guards to replace Jennings with — but one of the seems far more easy to acquire than the other.

According to Chris Mannix from SI.com, the Detroit Pistons are aggressively trying to trade for guard help, which plays into rumors that they could be a landing spot for Jarrett Jack.

Bran Windworst from ESPN.com notes that Jarrett Jack could very well be a landing spot for Jarrett Jacks, especially if the Miami Hear end up moving Cole elsewhere.

Norris Cole has been on the Pistons radar for a while now, but he could be heading to Phoenix as part of the Goran Dragic trade. If the Pistons want to get Jarrett Jack, he’s much more attainable than Cole ver will be, especially with the Heat insisting that Danny Granger be a part of any trade involving Norris Cole.

The Nets are looking to shed players in the Reggie Jackson trade, since they’ll be getting back such a massive return of players. Kevin Garnett is rumored to be heading back to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the deal and that means Jack heading to Detroit makes sense — and is possible.

Detroit wants a replacement for Brandon Jennings and while Norris Cole is a great young option, Jarrett Jack is just as good and won’t require the team to end over backwards to get him.
