2015 NFL Draft: Top 10 Running Backs

Though the running back position has been devalued the past couple of years, teams will still be look for game-breakers coming out of the backfield in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Let’s face it, NFL fans. The running back has gone the way of DVDs and Compact Discs: once essential pieces of everyday life that have fallen by the wayside due to a shift in technology and/or demand for a different, more pleasing product.

With the proliferation of the passing game, the NFL has fallen in love with throwing the ball instead of grinding out games on the ground.
Just ask the Seattle Seahawks who chose to throw the ball at the New England Patriot’s one-yard line at the end of the game instead of handing the ball off to one of the best running backs in the league in Marshawn Lynch.
However, no matter how much teams insist on throwing the ball (35 times a game on average, but who’s counting?), the running back is still a necessity on a good team.
Do teams need to get an Adrian Peterson or LeSean McCoy in the 2015 NFL Draft in order to be successful? Probably not, but even the Super Bowl Champion Patriots needed a solid running back like LeGarrett Blount to gain consistent yards to keep defenses honest for Tom Brady.
Fortunately, this year’s running back class is deep and there are a lot of quality backs to choose from. Here are the top ten running back prospects entering the 2015 NFL Draft.
