The Reno Big Horns guard was mistaken for the Miami Heat center

Yesterday’s trade deadline left the NBA and fans alike stunned after 37 players and 9% of the league was traded. With so many guys being sent across the league to new homes, it was understandable that there was confusion among the madness that was the trade deadline.

When the Suns sent Goran Dragic to Miami, a bevy of moves followed and it took a little while for the dust to clear. In a three team deal with New Orleans and Phoenix, Miami sent many players else where as they acquired Dragic.

One of the players Miami traded away, was center Justin Hamilton. Amid the hysteria, Yahoo NBA writer Adrian Wojnarowski, who is known for his ability to break NBA news before anyone else, broke the news of the list of players that Miami was trading away.

However, rather than tweeting Justin Hamilton was traded away, he tweeted that it was Jordan Hamilton. Hamilton, of course, is known for his time in Denver and Houston, and has since been playing well in the D-League while looking for a new home in the league.

Jordan Hamilton had a great reply too.

Wojnarowski, ever the pro when it comes to reporting, quickly noted his error.

Yesterday’s trade deadline was nothing like anything we have ever seen before and insiders like Wojnarowski had a hell of a time trying to piece everything together. It’s easy to see why he may have gotten the two players confused.

After one of the craziest days in NBA history, the dust is finally beginning to settle.
