It certainly wasn’t a classy move from the Suns to go after a player in the manner that they did — painting Dragic as a selfish person seemed especially harsh — but Dragic attacked the Suns publicly first.
In confirming rumors that he demanded a trade, Dragic told reporters on Wednesday that he didn’t trust the Suns organization because they had broken promises to him.
The Suns wanted to get their side of the story out there and they certainly did that on Friday.
Dragic is averaging 16.2 points (50.1 percent shooting from the field, 35.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc), 4.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game this season.
