One of the most anticipated events in sports history is finally upon us as Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have officially signed the contract for a May 2 fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. As for money, there will be a 60/40 split in which Mayweather will take 60 percent of the revenue generated to Pacquiao’s 40 percent.
According to Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports, the payout for Mayweather is estimated to be at least $120 million and at least $80 million for Pacquiao.

This will be one of the greatest fights in boxing history and will have the highest pay-out ever. The two were stubborn to fight each other for years as they rose to be named some of the best boxers in the history of the sport and it’s finally going to happen between the 37-year-old Mayweather and 36-year-old Pacquiao.
Mayweather (47-0, 26 by knockout) is the current WBC, WBA and Ring Magazine welterweight champion, as well as the WBC light middleweight champion. Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KO) holds the WBO welterweight belt.
Floyd Mayweather has opened to 3-to-1 favored odds to defeat Manny Pacquiao.
Both boxers fought twice in 2014 and both had victories in each match. Floyd Mayweather fought Marcos Maidana twice in Las Vegas and won both in 12 rounds.
This will be undoubtedly huge for the sport of boxing and could possibly be each boxer’s last time in the ring. There’s no doubt that the winner of this anticipated matchup will be decalred the best welterweight boxer in the history of the sport.
