Anthony Davis taken to the locker room after re-injuring shoulder
By Will Osgood
Pelicans teammates Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson left Saturday night’s game as result of injuries sustained within moments of each other.
Pelicans’ superstar forward Anthony Davis cannot catch a break lately in the health department—and one could extend that to the entire New Orleans Pelicans’ roster.

Davis, who missed the Pelicans’ final two games before the NBA All-Star break—and missed the All-Star Game as well—played 38 minutes in the Pelicans’ loss at Orlando on Friday night, scoring just 13 points on 5-15 shooting.
Saturday night he played nine minutes before crashing into Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside.
Davis was taken immediately to the New Orleans’ locker room, and considered doubtful to return to this game. It’s the same shoulder which he injured prior the All-Star break.
Then, as if matters could not get any worse for New Orleans, fellow Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson had his right ankle stepped on by Heat guard Mario Chalmers. Anderson’s entire knee buckled, and down he went.
This all happened within a matter of a few minutes in Miami. The Pelicans were up early in the game and held Miami to just 14 points in the first quarter. Since Miami has battled back to make it a closer game.
The Pelicans were already missing starting point guard Jrue Holiday who earlier this week was announced as Out indefinitely. Pelicans fans are beginning to wonder if their team is truly cursed by some voodoo power.
