An NFL.com writer got in trouble for getting a little too close while snapping pictures

At the annual NFL Scouting Combine, media from all over take part in covering the event leading up to the NFL Draft. One of the big events every year in the combine is the 40-yard dash where analysts and scouts alike put to stock into how fast a player can run.

Today one media member got a little too close to the action.

While Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall, who hopes to be a defensive back in the NFL, was getting read to run his 40, a member of the media began snapping pictures to close to Marshall and where the run was taking place.

What then occurred, was a team official from the Pittsburgh Steelers, telling the guy snapping the pictures to go somewhere else.

He referred to the picture taker as “Instagram Guy.” Instagram of course is the popular social media picture sharing website.

The “Instagram Guy” then took a “walk of shame” as the NFL Network’s Mike Mayock called it and walked up the steps of Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis.

It turns out the mysterious “Instagram Guy,” Conor Orr, is a writer for NFL.com

So while every year members of the media, come together to cover the combine, it’s best they probably don’t get too close to the action or they could potentially pick up a nickname that could go viral.

On the bright side for Orr, he could turn his new nickname into a serious marketing tool and gain some popularity on Instagram.
