Jameis Winston nailed the NFL Scouting Combine with strong workouts and even better interviews, but he saved his best for the airplane ride back home, helping a wheelchair-bound man in the airport.

The NFL Scouting Combine is an important week for all the invited prospects, but especially for Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston who had to face the questions about his off-the-field concerns.

By all accounts, Winston aced the combine with impressive interviews where he showed off his magnetic personality and charisma that we saw the last two years with the Seminoles. Steve Mariucci went so far as to say his football intelligence and work ethic is off the charts.

He looks like the clear front-runner to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with his on-field ability trumping any off-field concerns or questions.

On his return flight home from the combine, Winston showed a side of him that many may not have seen from the 2013 Heisman winner and national champion when he reportedly gave help to an elderly man in a wheelchair.

Kent Somers of AZCentral and Darren Urban from AZCardinals.com relayed what they saw.

Now, I know what the Winston skeptics are thinking. You think he did this for the attention and goodwill, don’t you?

There were no television cameras around, there wasn’t a microphone in front of his face. He was in the middle of an airport when he couldn’t have imagined that an NFL reporter would have seen his noble action.
