LSU’s Jarrell Martin threw down an emphatic between the legs dunk in transition on Saturday.

It’s been an up and down, see-saw season of inconsistent play for the men’s LSU FIghtin’ Tigers basketball team. But it would be difficult to criticize the struggles on fellow big men Jordan Mickey or Jarrell Martin.

Mickey and Martin are potential NBA rotation guys as early as next season. In Saturday’s win Mickey contributed 14 points, six rebounds, four blocks and two steals in 35 minutes.

But it was frontcourt mate Martin who stole the show in LSU’s 70-63 home court win over the Florida Gators to improve LSU’s overall record to 19-8 (8-6 SEC). Martin had 28 points on 8-15 shooting from the field and one electric fastbreak dunk.

Martin also finished with 13 rebounds on the afternoon.

Of course, guard Tim Quarterman immediately followed up Martin’s dunk by recovering a block/steal to create the give-and-go transition alley-oop, which was thrown Jalyn Patterson.

Unsurprisingly, as great as Martin’s dunk and Quarterman’s alley-oop was, CBS Sports’ Ian Eagle’s call is that much better. In typical Eagle fashion he got to top-end volume as Martin fed the ball between his legs  for the between-the-legs dunk.

“Razzle dazzle! Jarrell Martin with a grown man’s move to the rim!” In fact, just listen to the entire sequence as Eagle and color analyst Clark Kellogg marvel at the back-to-back dunks.
