WWE went out of their way to make sure they let Floyd Mayweather know they’re on his side

Floyd Mayweather has accomplished a lot in his life, and one of the accomplishments that some people might forget about is the fact that he actually was a headliner at WWE WrestleMania once. Back in 2008, Mayweather went one-on-one with The Big Show is a match that brought a lot of mainstream hype to WWE.

Well once you’re a member of the WWE family, you’re pretty much a member for life and that’s why it’s no surprise that after the announcement was made that Floyd would finally be stepping into the ring against Manny Pacquiao on May 2, WWE took to their Twitter account to let Floyd know that they have his back.

All things considered, Floyd did pretty well during his brief run with the company and the hype that went into WrestleMania 24. His natural charisma was a perfect fit, but what people might have respected the most is the fact that he wasn’t afraid to take a few bumps at all. He took some slams from Big Show and even was tossed out of the ring during en edition of RAW.

The relationship with WWE did not end there, however, as in 2011 Triple H walked Mayweather down to the ring for one of his bouts.

Mayweather will have a lot of support on May 2, and the contingent from WWE will be part of that.
