Chris Bosh thanks everyone for their support after he discovers he has a blood clot in his lungs.

Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat were completely blindsided two days ago when they discovered that the all-star had a blood clot in his lung that could put his season and career in jeopardy.

More from Miami Heat

Thankfully, we have found out that the blood clot is not life-threatening, but the team did officially announce yesterday that Bosh would be out for the remainder of the season.

Despite his newly discovered condition, Bosh is expected to make a full recovery and will hopefully be playing NBA games again in October.

Obviously Bosh has not been able to speak on his condition since everything went down, but yesterday he finally broke his silence with a simple and effective Instagram post.

It’s nice to see that Bosh and his family are still able to be so positive during this rough time for themselves. The smiles from him and his child could brighten up any room.

Yesterday Bosh’s teammate and friend Dwyane Wade spoke on the situation, and I think a couple of the things he said resonate just from this one picture.

Wade said that through everything in this situation Bosh and his family have kept their spirits high, and their spirits did not seem to take a hit at all in Bosh’s post.

Wade also said that Bosh probably has not even grasped the fact that he will miss the rest of the season right now, because that really is not what’s important right now. Bosh’s health comes first and foremost, and seeing him on a hospital bed with tubes in his nose and everything reminds us just how serious of a matter this is.

Hopefully Bosh can return from this and be better than ever.

Bosh is averaging 21.1 points (46 percent shooting) and 7.0 rebounds this season.
