Jameis Winston only wants to impress people these days, and this simulation with Steve Mariucci is incredibly impressive.
It’s still undecided on who will be the first pick in the upcoming NFL draft, but it appears to be a race between Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota.

Winston would be the unanimous choice between the two had he not had any off the field issues during his time at Florida State, but alas, he had multiple issues and now people are trying to see what kind of character he really has.
The interviews conducted by every team interested in Winston will play a large role in where he ultimately ends up being drafted, and Steve Mariucci did a mock interview with the star quarterback to give everyone an idea of what goes on during them.
Winston obviously killed this interview, and his personality and intelligence both really shined during it.
Marriucci tried to stump Winston on remembering all the tiny details of a play he went over with him, and Winston was able to remember everything he was just taught. It was truly impressive to watch Winson in this mock interview, as it sort of clashes with the idea that he’s some slacker kid who is lucking his way into a top draft spot this year.
Of course, this may not have been how all of the interviews went, but Winston no doubt impressed with this interview and won over a legion of new believers in the process. He may still end up facing major scrutiny, but he’s still on the right path to glory — at least for the time being.
My favorite part of it all was when talking about who he will be throwing to, Winston said “hopefully a Vincent Jackson.”
Maybe the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will give him that opportunity by drafting him with the first pick in the draft.
