By Ryan Ratty
Jared Odrick is a guy the Miami Dolphins want to bring back.
The Miami Dolphins are a team that is in an interesting crossroads as the NFL off seasons starts to hit its stride. While they do have many talented players, the Dolphins have to smart decisions to make the playoffs. In this day in age in the NFL, making the playoffs is no easy feat. One thing a team must do over the offseason is make the right decisions over their impending free agents. Defensive tackle Jared Odrick is one of the better players at his position in the league and at 27 years old, he is in the prime of his career and will command a ton of money.
Despite that, Dolphins want to bring him back. According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins want to bring back the 2010 first-round pick, but the one major issue that could keep him from re-signing is his contract extension.

Although he will likely get overpaid, considering the depth at this position in the free agency class, Odrick is a guy that has been a decent player in this league for the Dolphins. He ranked as the 31st best free agent in
‘s free agency rankings. It should also be said that if defensive tackle-needy teams miss on landing Ndamukong Suh, they will very much have a fall-back plan in Odrick.
Bringing Odrick back is something the Dolphins want to do, but money is going to be an issue. Odrick’s representatives have said that he could receive $6 million per year in free agency. Considering his health and his versatility, it’s easy to see why he will command a ton of money. Given the Dolphins’ mindset on making the playoffs in 2015, over-paying Odrick will likely be something that’s needed to be done.
