Thomas Robinson will now see if he can get his career on track with the Brooklyn Nets
Thomas Robinson has not had the best time getting his NBA career on track since entering the league out of Kansas in 2012, but he is going to be getting another opportunity to get everything right with yet another team, this time the Brooklyn Nets.
According to a report from Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Robinson agreed to a deal with the Nets on Monday.
While at Kansas, Robinson was a legitimate player of the year candidate and had many people believing that he would be quite the solid hand in the NBA. However, things have not quite worked out the way some had thought they would.
Back in 2012 the Sacramento Kings took Robinson with the No. 5 overall selection in the draft, thinking that he would be the man to dominate on the inside that everyone had hyped him to be. Well that didn’t turn out to be the case and Robinson was dealt to the Houston Rockets at the trade deadline of that year.
In the summer of 2013, the Rockets would ship Robinson off to the Portland Trail Blazers, where he would spend a year-and–half before making his way to the Denver Nuggets last week in the Arron Afflalo deal. On Sunday, the Nuggets waived Robinson.
With the recent departure of Kevin Garnett, maybe Robinson could flourish on the inside for the Nets. Whatever the case may be, Robinson is quite frankly running out of chances and teams to impress.
This season for the Nuggets Robinson averaged 3.6 points and 4.2 rebounds.
